Are you using any products before straightening your hair? I have long waist length thick curly hair and i use 4 products to get my hair straight. The first thing i do is put a leave in condition after i get out of the shower. Then i use Redken speed control which is a heat protectant and a smoothing serum. I blow dry my hair in sections with medium tension, starting at the nape area using a LARGE flat paddle brush. When my hair is completely dry i put biosilk serum in my hair. I then take 1 inch sections of my hair starting at the nape area. I start the flat iron process, sometimes using 2-3 passes over the section. When i see the hair is straight i continue on to the next section. When my whole head is done i spray TIGI headrush and do another quick pass to smooth out the last flyaways. This is a long process and usually takes me 1 1/2 hours but it gets the job done.

Straighten it in small layers. Take up most of your hair and straighten the bottom layer, then let some hair down and straighten it. Keep going until all of your hair is straight. Hope I helped!

Try to use VO5 leave-in heat protecting conditioner on your hair before you blow dry it and then iron it. Make sure that your hair is at least 90% dry before you start ironing it. You could also use Kiehl's straightening heat protecting lotion. This one is a bit more expensive, but the performance is excellent.

Make sure to blow dry it very well first, use a brush to comb out any tangles, seperate hair into small sections working from the bottom up.

i have a CHI, i think that if you blow dry your hair using a flat brush, and then use some hair spray, and then divide your hair into sections, that might help, don't try to do too much hair at once. i think CHIs are great.

this isn't a message board; in case you opt to deliver own messages to those shoppers you opt to finish that through e mail. this isn't a question or an answer and, for this reason, it defeats the objective of having Yahoo solutions (a area of questions and solutions!)

Make sure your hair is dry and you stroke your strands a little bit longer and do it slowly... that should do the trick
