over the summer, I started getting panic attacks. Ever since, i became so scared all the time about everything. For example whenever I get a headache, I think that I'm getting brain cancer, I'm afraid that if my parents haven't come back home, I think they got in an accident. I can't sleep because I always think that whatever happens in a scary movie will happen to me... I'm overly cautious about everything and I get scared of the smallest thing..that triggers my panic attacks, how should I cope with it? And what are ways to make me think of happy thoughts instead of negative ones?

It sounds like you are suffering from anxiety. When it starts to impede your day to day living it's time to see a Dr. He/she can properly diagnose and treat your anxiety. Don't suffer in silence.
Discuss your concerns with your parents and ask them to help you seek help.

You know when I was a little boy about the age of 5. I had open heart surgery. I had to face death at a very young age. I understand what you are going through. But you can't worry about death because you will never actually live. You need to choose to think about living. Everytime you feel the fear coming on just say to yourself "you know what I will think about death when I am dead in the meantime I am going to think about living and what fun things I want to do with my life and better yet today". There is no sense in worry about things you have no control over. You need to focus on living there is where the real challenge is. Get yourself in the best health you can and cherish your relationships and the good times.

I'm so sorry...that must be horrendous to try to deal with. You could try seeing a doctor about it, but I really just think you need to train yourself to relax. Find something you can do that relaxes you instantaneously or at least quickly. Personally, I sing; it helps relax me so quickly. Maybe you will be relaxed by listening to music or e-mailing someone you trust and care about. You might even try finding some funny comedy cd you could buy and turn on when you start to panic. I also...pray when I get upset and scared. There's nothing like the peace God can give you. I hope things get better soon. I know living like that has to be hard.
