Help!
After a firedrill we had, I was standing agianst the lockers waiting for a friend. Then here come this boy comin back into the school and he asked me "Hey, whats ur name?" i told him my name. But he was listening to his Ipod. So he coludnt really hear and he took one of his earphones out. And said "Wait say that again?" then i told him my name. And he smiled really hard while and after he asked. So What does this mean???
and we have American Lit. together.
And today he seemed totally nervous around me.
*And we kinda seen each other around before b/c i pushed my friend into a locker and he started laughing

He wants something from you, whether it's your friendship, a relationship, or he's just curious about where can he get those jeans from.

He just wants to know your name. Maybe you just want it to mean more, so next time you see him ask him why he wanted to know your name. If you don't like the answer he gives you and you wanted it to be something more, then you take that step.

Learning someones name is the first step on learning more about them and getting to know them better.

Either he's sincerely interested in knowing your name for future reference. Or he was being polite. It would be jumping-the-gun to think that it means otherwise.

Depends on how many times he asks it.
First time - he wants to know your name.
Second time, he likes you, and wants to either know more about you, or wants your attention.
Third time-He obviously has either memory issues, or needs you to write him a reminder... maybe with your number and/or address.
Fourth time- RUN AWAY!!!
