Think I would prefer the Resurrection or Ascension but my first choice would be His next coming to make all things new.

Catholics are present at Calvary. We stand with John and Mary at the foot of the cross. Sometimes the grace is soo tangible you can feel yourself rising. A great Saint actually did rise up off the floor everytime he said Mass. He hated the publicity (if you could call it that at that time) so one time he put a squirrel on his shoulder as he was saying Mass thinking it would keep him from rising and both him and the squirrel rose up off the floor. This is what is meant by meeting the Lord in the air. Mass is wonderful. It is not a new sacrifice of Jesus but, we are there at Calvary the first time. Have you ever thought of what you would do or say if you were there--well we are.

I just read an article that repeats rather well the Catholic teaching that in every Mass, the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus is re-presented. That is the one real historical event is made present in our day and time. So we can be present at the saving action any day we want.

It would be one of the hardest things I ever would do but yes I would live to have been there while he was alive even for the last few moments of his life on earth. It would be an emotional rollercoaster ride.

no. I would not want to be present at ANYONE's death, or public slaying. Let alone someone I love.
God knew it was a burden too great for me to bare, so he made sure I was born this far away in time.
