Heart rate for adults is between 50 to 100 beats per minute. Children have naturally higher normal heart rates than adults.

It is normal to have a heart rate between 60 and 80 bpm. The healthier you are, the lower of a heart rate you'll have. When you sleep your heart rate drops about 20 bpm. And when you exercise, your heart rate can get as high as 200 bpm, but normal range during exercise should be around 140 to 160 bpm. People who have fast heart rates, tachycardia, 90+ bpm usually have health issues such as sleep apnea or thyroid problems that put a strain on the heart.
