I just had such a dream but how many dreams do you have where anyone talks to you? I would say it just means that your brain was thinking of this person, perhaps they were on your mind, that's all, don't try to read too much into your dreams, it isn't like there is a book you can check afterwards and give you the correct answers. Next time just look and don't talk, see if you find out more that way.

Dreaming of dead relative could symbolize of reminder of how you should communicate with other live relatives.

Well, it sounds to me that you have not had closure with this. How was your relationship with them before they passed away, did you get to say goodbye in the proper way? Often times we dream of dead loved ones, when they dont speak to us in the dream, it is often an indicator that they are at peace and they are appearing to let you know that. However, it can also be your sub conscious nagging that you have not had proper closure.

I am not sure what it means either, but I have dreamt about my dead brother. He usually doesn't talk but it is nice to remember him. If he has spoken I don't remember what he said by the time i awaken. He's been gone 5 1/2 years now.
