Depends on what kind of "krinkles you want". A crimping iron give it more of a 1980's look, while a triple barrel curler gives your hair more of a beachy, wavey look.
You could also try braiding your hair when it's wet. Again, smaller braids when your hair is fairly wet will give it the 1980's kinda look (sorry, when I think crimping I just see it with the fluro pink shorts in a side poney tail!!) while larger, thicker braids when your hair is damp gives is the beach look. Seasalt spray also helps when braiding to keep the shape when your hair is dry. John Frieda Beach Blonde is a good one.

You can get crimpers at drug stores that work well and are only about $10, but if you're looking for a more natural look for no money, I recommend french braiding your hair (or braiding it in pigtails) when it's slightly damp. If you take a shower at night and then braid your hair, when you take it out in the morning it looks really pretty and wavy. Good luck!

You mean crimp? You can either:
1) buy a crimping hot iron
or for less damage:
2) braid your hair the night before and sleep in it. Unbraid it the next morning and go!

What I do is spray my hair with a spray bottle so that it is pretty wet then take my hand and grab the bottom of my hair and scrunch it upwards. Then after you do this for a while and it is pretty curly put some hair spray in it and repeat this a couple of times.

I believe there is an iron you can buy that does that. At least you could back in the '80s

1) Crimper (easiest)
2) Braid hair while damp, sleep on them, undo in morning
3) Roll in tongue depressers - a girl I know did this and it looked pretty cool.

Sounds like a job for one of those wavy curling irons.
