The other day I went downtown and went into a shop. I was only in there for about 5 minutes and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said, "Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break"? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a "Nazi." He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a "doughnut eating Gestapo." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said "Hillary in '08."

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

I doubt what you're saying is the truth, for every policeman knows that disrespect to a police officer is a serious offense and he could put you in handcuffs and take you in and charge you with a misdemenor that could carry a $500 fine or a week in jail.

If it's true, then he practised good restraint, but I tend to think you made this up.

You maybe rewarded at the judgment seat if you have trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I think that it is a sin to lie to us tho'. Wouldn't the story be even funnier if some big fat neocon came out of a store and started cursing not only about the tickets but about who put that bumper sticker on his car....lol

When we are judged at death, the basic question put to our consciences is whether we died in charity, that is, in a state of love of God and of neighbor. Any serious offense against charity or justice can obviate that state. If it is understood to be wrong (and your question implies that you know it was wrong) and you gave full consent of the will, then we would say it is mortally sinful. This needs to be repented and, if you are a Catholic, confessed, under such circumstances. Note that there are three persons hurt: the policeman who was doing his job, the person who got the tickets, and Ms. Clinton. (And, by the way, I believe this joke appeared in several magazines over a number of years.)

Yes. You should never interfere with a cop who's writing a ticket for a car that has a Hillary in 08 sticker on it...

rather some sins are exciting because of the fact, nicely, they may be exciting. as far as why they seem to be a sin... perhaps it is outcomes of particular kinds of exciting that lead them to a sin. i do no longer think of this is the exciting factors in themselves that are incorrect. this is that maximum of them, in case you do them, convey outcomes you basically do no longer think of roughly on the time of committing them. That, or they carry outcomes we could desire to have faith won't touch us if we someway use consumer-friendly experience jointly as we sin (alongside with somebody who says they could drink without it being risky as long as they are not getting below the impact of alcohol). perhaps in the tip they're sins because of the fact the undesirable basically outweighs in spite of good (or in spite of the undeniable fact that plenty exciting) you get from them... and perhaps, because of the fact we are basically human, we basically have a complicated time accepting that. we desire to have faith that if we use our consumer-friendly experience above each and every thing else, we are in a position to't be touched by using the undesirable outcomes. besides, maximum sins could have some thing good approximately them in the event that they're to be dedicated. If there have been somewhat no advantages to sinning none persons could sin, and there could be no choose for sins to be suggested to us. Even the worst of sins could be justified by using the ideas of the guy who commits them. For some the justification is they're exciting. For others, there are possibly different motives they arise with to justify why they do them.

you are a very funny fellow. Here's your penance. Do this same thing 20 times with cars belonging to right wing fanatics and you may be forgiven. God likes a since of humor, and it is a sign of intelligence it is a shame to see these gifts wasted on an elitest snob. See I can be funny too.

oh dear, sounds like the run in i had the other day.
On my way to work, speeding like always, i noticed flashing lights behind me. I pulled over, and the state patrol walked up to my car, he said, ' you in a hurry?' ' do you know how fast your were going?" I said, no sir, but i was on my way to work and i was running late........" he interuppted, 'where do you work, i see your uniform, nurse? what do you do?" I said, thinking I've got this dweeb now- 'I am a rectum stretcher", with a straight face.
The cop looked at me and his mouth dropped open, he looked at me leerily and said,' and just WHAT does a rectum stretcher do?" Smiling innocently, 'well first i insert one finger, then two, then work my hand in, then move it back and forth until i am able to get it up to the elbow, then i work the other hand in, moving both back and forth until it is stretched wide open." ( I could barely contain my laughter at his face). He then said so seriously, ' and just WHAT do you do with a stretched out aXX-hole?'- Prettily I smiled up at him, " Well, you put him in a police car, and park him under a bridge with his radar gun....."
His reaction- PRICELESS. my ticket- $ 300.00

Truth is my friend you and I do nothing but sin our entire lives. We were born into sin and need a savior lest we both perish. But God loves us and died for our sins on the cross to fully satisfy the sin of the world. But you must repent of your sins and trust Jesus to save you on Judgment Day. Please do this or you will face a Holy, Just God on Judgment Day. May you find peace and understanding.
