Think about depression-----what we know is that it is caused by altered chemicals in the brain. With that in mind, antidepressants additionally change those chemicals. This undoubtedly is going to cause you to feel differently.......whether tired, drugged, hungover, or all of the above. Most people usually say it takes at LEAST a week (closer to two) for the body to adjust to these meds and make a person feel "normal" again....

Usually you may experience some side effects like that and dry mouth too. They usually pass after a few weeks when it gets into your system. If the side effects are too much for you tell you doc and he can prescribe something else...good luck and congrats on your new addition!

I take 30mg daily, for depression, and they must work, I have been on them for 6 years, I know that when I was at 50mg. it was too speedy for me and I had to take a xanex to slow it down. The only side effect is that my sex drive is not happening. But I have tried other anti-depressants and Paxil works the best for me...Each person is different , and reactions are different as well..

it takes awhile for the paxil to get into your system good...after that, you shouldn't feel quite as drowsy...also, it is a good idea to take paxil before you go to bed

remember that everyone is different and will intereact differently with varying medicines...make sure to read up on the side effects of paxil...if some of paxil's side effects are continuous and bothersome to you, then go talk it over with your doctor
