He knows you like him. Don't call him. He feels in control and as long as you call when he wants you to and you are there for those hugs he will always think you want more and that my dear is the beginning of being used. So, try to call a lot less. Why can't he call you??? Don't be there all the time for him to take advantage of your liking him. Someone has told him or he gets your vibes. You have to make the call about his motives. Friends return calls and it's an equal partnership so, it should be with him if he just wants to be your friend, make him prove it.

He either likes you too or he's just playing with your emotions. Don't call him for a while and see what happens. If he goes on as if nothing happens then he was just playing with you. If he asks about it and wants to know what's going on then he could possibly be trying to get to know you better before he decides if you are what he wants. There are so many things that could be running through his mind about you, but you have to be smart about what you do, to find out what he's thinking.

You should definately be friends with him. He likes you in every way; but maybe he just isn't ready for a relationship yet with you; possibly he wants to get to know you better before he commits himself. Welcome his friendship, and show him how wonderful and fun you are; that way he'll have a big chance to rethink whether the friendship should go on, or if his inner feelings get the best of him. Give him time, but by all means be friends for now.
