You may want to pursue this with a specialist, probably a gastroenterologist. There is a link between constipation and loss of bowel control. Chronic constipation can weaken the muscles in the lower intenstine and anus. Usually this is a problem for older people, but it is possible in children. You also want to rule out disease as a possible cause. Your son needs to know that this is not his fault. A thorough medical workup should be done to try to identify the exact mechanism of this problem. I hope you can find a good doctor who will work with you.

First thing I would get another doctor's opinion.
My nephew had what seems to be a similar problem. "It slipped out" was his excuse for soiling his pants. But the doctors said there was nothing wrong with his bottom muscles. He was six at the time.
We watched and noticed that when he was having fun, sometimes he would do this little squat and after a minute, stand back up and continue playing. We realized he was pushing it back up. Instead of going to the bathroom when he had to go, he'd wait until it almost coming out on its own. Which meant he spent extra time on the toilet and it seemed like his bowel movement was uncontrollable.
How did we fix it? We started potty training again. We explained as best we could to a six year and then whenever anyone of else thought of it, we'd have him go to the toilet and sit for a minute. Also if we caught squatting at unexpected moments, he had to go then too. No longer than a minute and he should not strain or try to force himself to go. Make sure he understands its not a punishment. This way if he has to go, he'll go.
He was afraid to miss out on the fun, so after a while he started going on his own and we could stop telling to sit on the toilet.

How old is your son? What has your doctor done? prescribed? What tests have been done?
I'd find another doctor... or I'd go back. Doc needs to know that whatever he did... didn't do it!!!
If the consistency is ok, and pathology came back clear (means it's not caused by a bacteria or virus), your son may have a structural problem... may need surgery to correct it.
Tonight, your son's intestines will eventually empty, but when he eats in the morning, I'm guessing that the problem will come back, and unless he's ok with wearing a diaper.... Yeah, I'd take him a) back to the doctor or b) to the hospital.

How old is he and how long has this been going on? Is there any other symptoms that have been going on? What does the physician say? You can get over the counter anti-diareals but it is more important to find the cause and then treat the problem.

sounds like irritable bowel syndrome! you didnt say how old he is, but I did have an issue with my son when he was younger (6)...we thought he was allergic to milk so we gave him over the counter chewables for lactose intolerance.....that worked....we only did two weeks worth and since then, no more milk issues....(he's 13 now)
however, now he has IBS constipation type. we are awaiting a doctors visit to a gastrointerologist. that is who you need to see.
good luck.

You had best find another doctor if your family doctor hasn't helped by now. This is very serious and had better be diagnosed and treated properly.

Bananas have him eat only bananas. It will help him constipate instead of otherwise. Keep him away from milk, coffee, prunes, cucumber, orange, yogurt.
let him only eat bananas and drink as much concentrated tea he can. I believe also boiled eggs would help.
Try..and let me know if it works.
