It does contain a certain amount of acid, that if you soaked your teeth in it would, over a period of time, dissolve them, however if you practise good dental hygiene and clean your teeth regularly and use (non sugar) chewing gum between meals, it should not be a problem. Do not worry about it in your stomach as the acid in your stomach is one hell of a lot stronger.

All carbonated beverages are bad. The caffeine is also bad plus the sugar. I used to know a guy who worked at Coke. He got really bad teeth after drinking all he could all day long. And then there is also the info that if you work a job where you are out in the heat all day, drinking Coke (and I am sure other caffeinated carbonated beverages as well) and not enough water can cause kidney stones.

Coke as in the drink is bad for your teeth because of the acids in it. its not so much the sugar. if you drink more than about 2 a day, you are probably going to have many cavities.

Is it bad for your teeth? The answer is simple... YES!! The sugars in the soda make little pit holes into your enamel. You may not notice it. Once it gets passed the enamel, it will be in the dentin. At this point you may start to feel some sort of discomfort or pain. Eventually the decay will creep towards the root, causing extreme pain.

It also causes extrinsic staining.

Coca Cola? Yes, it's bad for you, especially your teeth, but I still love it. Just brush your teeth, floss, and visit your dentist regularly and you shouldn't have a problem. Believe me, there are worse things out there than Coke.

Have you checked the Nutrition Facts? 140 Calories! 50mg sodium! 39g Total Carbs! and 39g of sugar!!! Man is that unhealthy, and all in one can!? YES it is bad for you and your teeth. Its sugar! and if your drinking it just remember that you are giving your teeth a nice bath by adding layers of sugar onto it. Worst of all it makes you fat, lowers your stamina, breaks down your teeth, and may give you high blood pressure if drink it constantly. It's okay to drink it once in a while but don't drink it every day.

Respectfully,
GrayFox

Try this... Put some raw hamburger meat in a bowl {just a small amount} then pour coke over it. Let it sit over night & when you get up you will see what coke does to your stomach.

Coke / Cocaine is not a good thing to put in your body. Coke can kill you anytime, even if you use it on a regular basis. Is it bad for your teeth? I think if your doing coke, your teeth are the least of your worries.
