Good question, because in the text I still haven't found it and people say they have evidence saying it is and also evidence about masturbation is wrong and all of that. To me its all bull, and they are mis interpreting the text very clearly. How can God love us all and hate gays if they beleive and love him back. God loves everyone, no matter who you are and he is always there for you regardless of what you are. That stuff about it being in the text to me personally is a bunch of crap, God loves all. Holla Peace ~1~

God loves gays and lesbians, He hates homosexuality.

It does not. Because God is love. Also the Leviticus verse was written during the days of Bronze Age tribesmen so it is not applicable. Also if someone says well it is a commandment most Christians do not follow all the commandments of the Old Testament. Namely because the Old Testament has 613 commandments to be followed.

God loves gays and lesbians like he loves all humans. He cannot tollerate sin and has set guidelines for his children, those who claim his Name.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

I wouldnt take that idea too seriously. How many other species have you heard of or seen engaging, or trying anyway, in gay sex? Not like I was watching or anything sick, but I've seen dogs try, cats, monkeys - discovery chanel had a very interesting show on this species of monkeys who preferred same sex encounters-yet still ensured that reproduction would occur. Its not as UNATURAL as some would think, not at all actually.

Okay. God says that man cannot uncover man as woman and woman is not to uncover woman, whether from the same family or not. There is one instance that God speaks of hate and that is in reference to his hate for Esau. Esau is the symbol for one who gives up his inheritance. People who turn away from the inheritance of eternal life provided by the gift of Jesus Christ for the atonement of our sins, COULD be construed as Esau... or one who gives up his inheritance... eternal life. I don't like it, but there it is. God's ways are not UNequal. He hates sin, cannot abide in it without atonement of the sinner. God is perfect, no sin in him, righteous, ALL His ways are equal and just. We have His mercy only by the blood of Jesus Christ, provided by The Creator that we might choose to spend eternal life with Him. God does not hate the person. He hates the action of forfeiting ones inheritance = blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. How is that we can love our children but not like some things they do, but we have a difficult time attributing the same to the God who many, many times asserts that He is the Father.

Leviticus
Leviticus 20:13

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Leviticus 18:22

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
