I'm not used to boyfriends spending any amount of money on me, but my current boyfriend has no quams about spending money on me. I mentioned I wanted a new camera and that I was saving for it and the next thing I knew he was getting it for me for my birthday. When I mentioned I wanted a Vera Bradley wallet to match my bag, he got it. He's also spending hundreds of dollars on snowmobiling gear for me. I like having money spent on me (what girl doesn't?) but I always feel a little strange when he spends large amounts of money on me. Does anyone have any advice on better ways to say thank you or approach getting gifts like this?
PS I'm not complaining!

Sweetie, if he enjoys doing this and enjoys making you happy, just take it for what it is. As long as he has that kind of money to be spending, it is ok. The thing that you have to remember is to never take someone like this for granted! Always tell him 'thank you' and always show him how much it means to you that he does this. You go girl!! Not all of us are so lucky!

all of that comes with a price. i recently ended a relationship with a guy who didnt have any problems spending money on me and my daughter and i was a little uncomfortable. i had just met him in june and was in the process of getting my license. well he said that if i got my license he would get me a car. well i worked hard and got my license. the next week after that i got my car. but i put the money down, we both own the car. i was so happy but i had my reservations as he wanted more than i wanted and every now and then i think about him coming to take the car even though it didnt work out. but i pay the note and upkeep of the car so its not like im riding around in a car that he pays for. anyway some guys have it to spend and dont mind. but dont let him spoil you either.

From time to time tell him what you have just said here. You will be a class act and someone worth spending money on.

I would be concerned about the gifts. What if you don't want to be with him later on? It's definitely not my style. I would ask him to take them back.
