I burned my hair wiht curling iron other day. It was the first time to use the professional curl iron (Jilbere Titanium curl iron). Accidentally I set the almost maximum tempter (430 F) and I kept using it. Next day, when I shampooed my hair and still smelled burning. My hair got damaged and I have split ends.

What kind of hair care should I do to take care of damaged hair? Do I have to cut off the dead part to regain healthy hair?

Damaged hair really can not be repaired completely. You can try some moisturizing conditioners to improve the appearance of the hair cuticles.

Cut off as much of the burned hair that you can without cutting off too much. Then go to the store and buy a really good conditioner.

Be sure not to use an iron on wet hair also.

U can use a regular curling iron that does not have any setting for any every day hair style. Call your hair stylist and tell her of the situation. If u don't have one u probable need to get to one to trim off any damage hair that cannot be saved through the home treatments. She will suggest certain products. If u must depend on yourself first start buy getting to a Beauty Supple Store. I stress this because that is where all hair stylist usually get their products. U might want to try Sally's or Iman's. Get a great shampoo and conditioner that promotes for severely damage hair and split ends. U will also need a mega treatment conditioner. One that u can use a hot towel effect for heat. Now is the time not to put any more heat to your hair. If u have rollers, use this to roll you hair to get a curl style for awhile. If u don't have any get some unless u per fer ponytails or buns for now. Make sue to wash your hair 2x/week and use mega conditioner and additional treatment. A couple of months, u should be fine.

most probably you do have to cut it off. or you could buy nexxus therappe shampoo and conditioner. it could help, its a great shampoo and conditioner though. it really moisturizes if you leave it on long enough. hope your hair feels better. but whatever you do, do NOT use any heat styling! leave it down or in a pony. :)

to answer your question, yes. You need to cut the dead ends off. They will not become healthy again. You can temporarily seal them with a serum, but i would just get it cut. And next time, if you accidentally set the temperature to high, stop using it!:)

My hair smells burnt whilst i take advantage of straighteners. i think of its only the end results of heat on hair. attempt making use of a stunning smelling ending product, or a easy spritz of fragrance or fragrance. Hair "holds" fragrance greater advantageous than epidermis.
