I was saved from drowning once when I was a child, and have recovered from near-fatal illnesses several times, and for all of that, I'm grateful.

You're not alone, but you are mistaken.
There's a huge difference between *not dying* when the situation could have resulted in your death, and "god stepped in and saved my life." I'm sorry, but there's just no proof that god did anything of the sort, no matter what you think he let you know.

Tell me this: if god steps in and saves people's lives, then why is there so much death, disease, war, etc. on earth? Are you just so special and righteous that he only saves you? Are all the people who die and don't get saved by god just rotten people? I've known a lot of very devout christians who died in accidents -- how come god didn't step in and save them? Hmm?

The DR. said watch for cocussion.I had bad headace for 5 days. Mom took me to a different DR. & he sent me to Childrens Hosp. In COLumbus Oh. where I spent 2 weeks. Had some pieces of bone in my brain. In 1968 I was driving a 68 Dodge Convertable 140 mph & the casing come completly of the tire & it didn't blow. I could see my life going out into the woods beside me. well I'll be65 Oct16.& I wouldn't be telling you this if not for Him!! Amen.

nope, you're not alone. unfortunately, my life was such a waste in the 80's I'm amazed i'm still alive. even recently, when i'd be down or despressed about life - He would step in and save me from car addicents (3 really dramatic), probems at work & family situations. He's pretty amazing isn't He!!!

He helped me learn not to commit suicide! I prayed to him and all of a sudden I had thoughts of all the nice things I do for people and how no matter how mean or rude people are to me, God will always love me no matter what and that is all I needed to have a reason to go on.

How many times did he save the children killed by Stalin, Hitler, The Japs, Or the countless numbers dying from rape torture and starvation in every country today. You must be proud he chose you over the innocents.

i have one that i can think of off the top of my head... when i was 5 i think, me and my family were going fishing one saturday and our car ended up getting sidswiped and rolled about 4 times... there was nothing let of the car and all that happened to us was a few bumps and bruises... and my little sister broke her arm... but not bad... i actually think it was just a fracture not a clean break... but that was it... looking at the pics of the car, it looks like no one should have survived that...

At least 2 instances that I can think of, but probably countless others I never knew about.

I have had two close calls, and at neither time did god have anything to do with my survival.
