You should have two litterboxes and keep them clean by scooping every day and thoroughly clean once a week.
If they are not neutered, they could be spraying. If they are neutered and they are large males they could have a urinary tract infection.
Has anything in their lives changed recently? A new house, new boyfriend, new baby, new carpet? Cats are creatures of habit and when that habit changes they tend not to use the box.
Get a black light and search your home, the light will reveal their urine stains. Get Nature's Miracle, follow the directions, to clean and deodorize the stains. Put a litterbox in the areas they have soiled and keep them very clean.
Start by having the cats examined by a vet to rule out any health problems.

Take them to a vet, they may have a bladder infection. I don't think that's the problem, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Neutering may stop this problem. It may not. Some cats develop a habit and never quit. The vet clinic where I work has euthanized quite a few cats for this reason. Sorry to be negative.
There are diapers you can get. Go to a pet store.
Squirt bottles set to stream work if you are catching them in the act.
Clean the stink with Natures Miracle, Urine-gone, Urine Off, Simple Green or Quick and Bright.
Good Luck

As with the above answer, neutering your cats is an important factor, but even if neutered, the still may spray. What they are doing is territorrial, all cats, and most other animals do. Male cats mark their territory by spraying. Are the two cats in conflict, or is there another male cat in the neighborhood that they don't get along with? This also applies with other animals as well, they do this to re-state what is theirs. If you could eliminate the source of what bothers them, then they will stop, for the pee smell I recomend "Nature's Miracle" for pet ordors and stains.

Sometimes its hard to stop them if you don't know where they are going. Try to find out and put something on it, or clean it well enough that they can't smell it anymore. By now, they probably think its okay to go there. When you catch them doing it pick them up and put them in their box asap. I hope you can find wherever they have been going so you can stop them from going there again. There is probably something at the pet store that you can put on it to help. Good Luck!

You can use a black light. Cat urine will light up very bright with black light.

If they aren't neutered, they need to be. Male cats can ruin a house quickly with territorial marking. Could be a urinary tract infection. Could be they don't like the litter you're using, or the litter box isn't clean enough to suit them.

a great style of the time it rather is a habit difficulty. according to probability some thing surpassed off around his muddle container that scared him. attempt shifting the muddle container. on the places that he urinated be constructive to scrub nicely and then place a vineger saturated fabric on genuine so he can not scent the urine. If that would not paintings placed a number of his nutrition on genuine he won't circulate close to the spot that has nutrition on genuine of urine. optimistically this might help.

Are your male cats neutered? If not you may need to neuter them as they may be marking your house. They may need two separate litter pans or they may need their litter changed more often. Sometimes a new kind of litter will help if they have already been neutered.

they could be doing it for several different reasons. are you spending less time at the house with them? they might be upset with you and show it in this way. or it could be any of the other reasons others have posted.
