In the US dates are the 'wrong way around' compared to the rest of the world... we use the format DAY/MONTH/YEAR in the rest of the world. Which means that when you talk of 9/11 disaster we instictively think of the 9th of November rather than the 11th of September.

Do sicilian people use a different number system? I'm italian and never heard about that. If you mean to write the date, yes, you have to write 07/02/2003 instead of 02/07/2003.

When 02/07/2003 mean February 7th, 2003 in the US

in the rest of the world you have to write 07/02/2003
7th of February, 2003
