Boy, of all the embarrassing things to have! I have been passing quite large amounts of both intestinal and stomach gas for 3 days now. I can feel it has something to do with my bloated stomach. And it does make me feel somewhat better, but it feel like hardly anything has left that area! Rubbing my tummy feels better or putting a warm bottle on it. I am having giant belches every half hour or more. The other end is a little less frequent, but not much. Whenever I go to the restroom, quite a bit of gas is passed along with....er....poop. The poop is okay in consistency, color, and amount. I really feel most relieved when I pass the gas intestinally. Anyone know anyway to get that gas out? (Short of poking a hole in me so I can fly around the room). Thanks!!!!

When your digestive tract is not functioning well many things go wrong. If you drink fluids with your meal it waters down your digestive juices. If you re not producing enough Beta tine hydrochloride you also will not digest food properly. You may need probiotics to help with intestinal flora for digestion. Its is important to keep overall health and a exercise program.

A time honored remedy is simply an enema with some acidophyllis added. (about 2 tablespoons of the liquid variety or perhaps 6 of the capsules. The tablets are a lot of work.)

This should be done on your knees with your bottom high and your head and elbows on the floor. This position is important to allow the gas to rise upwards and out. You probably should have someone who has some experience in giving an enema to help due to the position problem. It should be done gently and slowly, stopping frequently at the first sign of cramping. Massage of the abdomen helps alleviate the cramping.
Then, after holding it for at least 5 minutes and expelling, you should feel greatly relieved.
Next, try to eliminate the source of the gas. Are you lactose intolerant? Use lactose free products and limit your dairy intake.
Do you eat beans? They are, of course, a major culprit. If you are eating a suspected gas producing food, you might try a product called Bean-o. I know several people who swear by it.

A natural cure for gas it to drink water that hot (not scalding but as hot tap water as you can comfortable drink). Drink 1-2 glasses. You will be burping after every few sips

If you have lemon in the house sqeeze 1/4 of a lemon in the hot water, and it will work twice as fast.

Peppermint tea will a so work, but it's mainly the hot water that does the trick

If you are more into over the counter products, gas-x, mylanta and the new rolaids for gas pressure will work (some however may give you the poops)

No, no poking I promise. Drink some Fennel tea. You probably have the seeds in your spice cabinet. Boil some water and then put about a teaspoon of fennel in it ,then strain. Add some honey and in about 20 minutes your tummy will feel much better. It will help I promise. Make it strong. I give this to my kids when they have a tummy ache and it works every time and its inexpensive!

I know immodium is mostly used for runny stools, but I also use it for gas. It's the best. Try to let out as much gas as possible. Also watch your food intake. You know the gassy foods, beans, some spicy foods, etc. I think you just have to let it come out. That's what happens to me. It's the only way it can come out. You can try other gas aids also. Drink plenty of water and lay off the pop because of the carbonation.

This going to sound really stupid, but a friend accidentally discovered that this helps and I can confirm!!!

Get on all fours and prepare to stay that way. Get a pillow for your forearms. Basically, just lean down and lay on the pillow while staying on your knees with your butt in the air. It's not exactly comfy, but I've known it to work!!!

Oh yeah, p.s., do this alone.

Try peppermint, tea is great! Peppermint essential oil works as well. For soothing comfort, add 3-5 drops in 1 tablespoon of messenger oil or lotion and massage into targeted area.

I'm a nursing student, and we're told one of the best ways to relieve gas is to walk, move around, exercise, etc.
