No, why would you do that? Newborn babies only need a wipe down like a sponge bath 3-4 times a week anyway so if your hot water heater is broken or something just heat a little bit of water on the stove or the microwave & wipe your baby down with warm water, a sponge & a small amount of baby magic wash or some kind of no tear wash for babies. Don't make the water to hot (TEST THE WATER BEFORE YOU USE IT ON THE BABY) don't use any kind of soap or even baby wash on the baby's face for 3-4 months.

Sounds like you are getting advice from someone else about baths, diets, etc. Your instinct is to ask others first it's good to question such advice.

One young mom didn't understand why her baby was constipated and had a hard tummy. She took it to a doctor against advice from her natural health advisor and he found out why.
Mom had been feeding baby unprocessed oats. They swelled in the babby's bowels and hardened there. That mom always looked for 3 opinions before going along with strange advice after that.

Baths can be fun for baby. A bonding time with baby and mother. Ice water wouldn't help that too much

No, you can't, babies do not regulate their temperature like we do. Even for adults taking an ice cold bath would be unpleasant and make you susceptible in catching a cold. If your baby has a fever, the best thing to do is to take him or her to the doctor. Ice cold water would be dangerous and for some be considered abusive.

Absolutely not! Newborns have a hard time regulating their temperature and this could cause your baby to go into shock. Why would you want to do that? You should only bathe your baby in room temperature water or slightly warmer., and make sure there is not a breeze in the room and keep baby warm by wearing a hat, this keeps the heat in.

I wouldn't give a baby a bath in ice-cold water. If you don't have any warm water, you can heat some on the stove, test it against the skin on your arm, and then use a bar of soap and washcloth to spot clean your baby.

do you take a bath in ice cold water??? no, so i guess the answer would be a no for the baby.

babies are delicate so you have to be extra careful with them. run the bath water until it is nice and warm. not too hot or cold, but warm. and sponge the baby, don't immerse the baby in water. you should definitely be using a baby tub

Did your doctor tell you to do this? If the baby has a very high fever, and your doctor told you to do this, then follow his/her instructions.

NO! Why would you want to do that? Does your baby have a fever? If she/he doesn't then don't even think about it!
