Gloves can lull you into a false sense of security. The reason being is that your supposed to change gloves AND wash your hands every time you change the food your working with. Doing this helps prevent the spread of food borne iillness via cross contamination.
If you don't change you gloves as often as you would normally wash your hands then their effectiveness is reduced and in fact can become a danger to the dining public.
In my kitchen I want to see people changing gloves often and washing their hands often
When I go shopping or out to eat i want to see hand washing stations , gloves available and gloves being changed.
So , No I don't feel any safer just because some guy has a pair of gloves on

No I do not trust because I have seen numerous people walk out of a public restroom without hand washing...it is gross! I think if you are handling food you should definitely wear gloves. I read an article about the recent e-coli outbreak in spinage. The article stated that the e-coli could be linked to handlers who picked the spinage after cleaning cow manure. If this is the case then gloves would have prevented several outbreaks.

you should under no circumstances positioned on gloves in case you do not understand what you're doing because you won't be able to positioned on any previous glove for any length of time. you opt to entice close the destroy and abrasion resistance, toughness, elasticity and resilience, tactile sensitivity and warm temperature dissipation. that's too a lot to pass into the following, yet certain gloves are short interest gloves that would in worry-free words be used for as a lot as 3 minutes. All gloves have a period time the position they get tiny tears and holes and on the prompt opt to be thrown away. until eventually you recognize what you're doing, donning gloves longer than their suggested time assures there are bacterial transforming into on your palms, multiplying right away because your palms are starting to be moist and heat, a desirable breeding floor. ALL food handlers should be mandated to wear gloves!
When I was a lunch lady at my local school, there was no
question about it. It is the best way prevent disease and
infection;even if the person did not wash their hands, you
may still have some protection, AND the gloves should be
kept clean and sanitary also.

What's the point-I've seen food handlers wearing gloves and handling money and food in the same gloves-as well as scratching nose, touching face and hair-YUK.
Food Handlers Hygeine course should be compulsory-but if you didn't learn basic human hygiene by kindergarten, what hope?

No, but you very well cant demand them to wash their hands! They are supposed to wash though, but I know for a fact that a lot of people go to the bathroom and waltz right past the sinks to the exit. I think it's just plain nasty, weather your in the food business or not.
