"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. “He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.” (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad .

Jesus said "Allaha" almost what Muslims say "Allah"........"Allah" therefore is the Arabic word used by Arabic-speaking Christians, Muslims, and Jews as the word for God. We can hear its counterpart in the other two semitic languages -- Aramaic (Jesus called God "Allaha") and Hebrew (Ellohim). It makes no more sense to say "Muslims worship a god called Allah" than to say "The French worship a god called Dieu" or "The Spanish worship a god called Dios.",,,,,,

Islam is a man made (invented) faith. Mohammed was not a prophet. This is what I believe. He was similar to others who did not like what they saw in religions and decided to make god into their liking.

Just my opinion.

MARK,

If the Jewish Religious leaders imposed harsh and unreasonable rules for the people don't you think Allah would want to have the truth revealed from a leadership that was considered pompus by Christ. That is what Jesus did. He put the Law into perspective. If you read his teachings and why he "reformed" certain rules you might agree with him.

I think you need to examine why Jesus and the apostles "reforms" were made. They make a lot of sense if you took time to examine them. Take the issue of graven images. Allah did not make the commandment against graven images but idol worshiping of graven images. The truth of this is revealed when Allah had Moses make a bronze serpent and the "winged creatures" out of gold as the lid of the arc of the covenant that contained the Ten Commandments. Christianity put that into context.

As a Christian we see harmony between the New and Old Testaments. The New Testament is hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is revealed in the New.

Concerning Mohammed (pbuh) and the Quran:

FACT: IT CAME INTO EXISTENCE CENTURIES AFTER THE BIBLE AND TORA. People who believe in it seem to think a counterfeit comes before the original. Islamic believers cannot validate the claim that the Bible is the counterfeit because the Bible's existence preceded the Qur'aan.

FACT: THE QUR'AAN TESTIFIES ABOUT ONE TRUE GOD (ALLAH) AND HIS PROPHETS. These truths were in the Bible and Torah long before the Qur'aan. This fact reveals that the Qur'aan is not the first writtings about God and his prophets and suggests that the Qur'aan is not authentic but a forgery.

FACT: IT WAS WRITTEN BY THE ASSOCIATES OF MUHAMMAD (pbuh). Muhammad could not read nor write. Therefore, Muhammad could not verify the validity of the holy book.

FACT: THE QUR'AAN's EXISTENCE WAS AFTER THE TECHNOLOGY OF WRITTING WAS INVENTED. Believer's of the Qur'aan and Islam think the errors in the Bible prove it is not the Word of Allah. Nothing is further from the truth. The technology of writing didn't exist in the time when stories of salvation history were unfolding. So, naturally there are errors since the oral tradition existed before the invention of writing.

The Bible is not 100% accurate but, there are some things to take into consideration before declaring the Bible an invalid source to believe in. You ask a lot of good questions.

There are some problems with the Bible and errors. Please remember, the Old Testament was passed down by oral tradition before the technology of writing was available. Compared to the Quran which existed long after the technology for writing was invented. So, yes there are grammatical errors.

Secondly, there are different ways to interpret based upon the "literary forms" of writers. Depending whether it is in a historical context, prophetic, poetry, or some other type of literary form. I believe Jesus Christ IS THE WORD of God. The Bible is written by people inspired by God.

If you took a Bible course and discovered what SCRIPTURAL TYPOLOGY is you would be amazed. If you knew what SALVATION HISTORY was in the Bible you would understand. If you recognized DIVINE AUTHORITY you would know that there has to be someone in authority to reveal the "secret" truths God has given. If you research all those phrases you will begin a journey of discovery that will last a life time.

We have a saying in Catholicism: the New Testament is hidden in the Old and the Old is revealed in the New. There are many mysteries contained in the Bible that I have been amazed at discovering for the past 20 years and there is a whole lot more. St. Jerome said: Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. The whole Bible is about our SALVATION: Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fulfilled over 300 prophesies in the Old Testament about the Messiah you can discover 50 of them in cd's IT IS WRITTEN.

WHEN YOU HAVE BEGUN TO DISCOVER THESE THINGS YOU WILL KNOW IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY MAN. Jesus (a historical figure along with others in the Bible that are not fictitional characters) by fulfilling just 50 prophesies makes the odds of doing that 10X135 power! An astronomical figure that could not have been achieved by human means.

The thing that might shock you and others is that SATAN used scripture to tempt Jesus. So, too Satan will use scripture to trip us up from following the true faith. This is why there has to be DIVINE AUTHORITY that passes from the Old Testament to APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION in the New Testament. This is why someone cannot Authoritatively pick up a Bible and correctly interpret it nor can there be millions of interpretors to HOLY SCRIPTURE. There can only be one!

Muslims do not differentiate between Jews and Christians. The entire world is at war due to the radicalism of Islam. Can you explain to the families of one milion dead Armenian families where the Muslims accepted them for their non-belief of Islam? What is your explanation for this? What happened to all the Christians in the Middle East? Where did one hundred million Christians disappear to? They disappeared under the sword of Mohammed. Jews were also all over the Middle East at one time. They have now been squeezed into a tiny land, and even that is trying to be taken away from them. Also, answer this. Who killed millions of Hindus in India. It seems to me your religion of peace is filled with murder, intolerance, and hate. Where is the peace of Islam? Is it repeated through the words of your Imams, describing Christians and Jews as pigs, cows, and kuffars? Why was there such an elaborate celebration in the Middle East, primarily Palestine, when the planes crashed into the World Trade Centers? All over the Middle East, Muslims rejoiced at the blood and death of over 3,000 INNOCENT Americans, due to your, "peaceful" religion. Even in America, neighbordhoods with the majority of the population being Muslim, celebrated and rejoiced at human life being taken for the sake of your so called peaceful religion.

It all centers on the life of Jesus.

The Jews of Jesus' time got to witness him performing miracles before their eyes. He healed the sick and the lame. He made the blind to see. He brought the dead back to life. He, himself was resurrected from the grave and witnessed by hundreds as he ascended to heaven.

Many Jews of his day refused to accept Christ, even though he performed miracles and fulfilled every one of their ancient prophecies. Many of them were expecting a warrior king who would free them from the rule of the Romans. Instead, he was a peaceful man who scolded the ruling Jews of his day for their self-righteousness.

And Jesus said there would be no more prophets. Plain and simple. HE was IT. After him, Christianity must build communities, preach the word, devote their lives to God, and wait.

600 years after Jesus Mohammed was a warlord who united the tribes of his land under his own banner for his own gain.

"Allah" is the name of an ancient moon God. His characteristics as Mohammad described him are very different from the God of Abraham and Jesus.

Mohammad performed no miracles. His proclamations often contradicted one another. He criticized the Jews and the Christians instead of adding to the testament of Christ. (a strong indication he wasn't of God). He spread his new religion by the sword.

He also married a very, very young girl, changing many established laws so that he could do so.

You're every bit as fanatical as the worst Christians. I don't think a religion that condones sawing a mans head of on TV can hope to be called peaceful.

No one knows what is in the mind of G-d. We dare not even to presume to know. Consider this: an ant is crawling along a train track. A locomotive comes along and crushes the ant. Does the ant have any knowledge of what is in the mind of the engineer running the train? We are all as lowly as that ant and have no comprehension of what motivates G-d.
