not only is he trying to convince himself, but he's thinking your going to say "oh wow, isn't he just wonderful!" Chances are - he's a con artist - someone who can sell ice cubes to the eskimos. Never trust a guy who has to TELL you he's different, or better, than other guys - a real man will SHOW you.

more likely trying to convince you. The truth is in what he does. His words mean nothing and that line "I'm a nice guy, not like all the rest" is waaaaaaaaaaaaay over done!

probably 8 outta 10 times, he's trying to convince himself and hopes that you are naive enough to fall for it. every once in a while, you'll come across one who is really not like other guys and that's usually because he's gay. (not there's ANYTHING wrong with that)

LOL yes more then likely he has heard that from his family, but chances are he isn`t as nice as he think he is,or they think he is. and in the most end up acting just alike, self centered.

No, usually when a guy says that, he really wants you to believe him ,then once he figures you do he will go for what he is really after and it usually isn't good.

No, he's trying to convince you. If he was confident and self assured he wouldn't have to.
