Alright Mary says that her baby is blessed, everybody will call me blessed. I have to say that that kind of works against the Mary being perfect argument. A little selfish Maybe???
And elizabeth is not an expert, she can be wrong and have opinions like when she says since you are Jesus' mom, you are the most blessed over all women?!?

if it dnd't matter - what was ssid to Her or about her - why is it i n the bible? don't forget she wa also told, upon taking Jesus to the temple that a sword would pierce her heart revealing the thoughts of many.

Look at it this way, Elizabeth said Mary was blessed among women and that her baby was blessed, also Mary went on to say how people through out time would continue to call her blessed. Elizabeth may not have been an expert but she was right!! Think about it.
Luke 1:28 (Gabriel) "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you"
Luke 1:30 Then the angel said to her "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God."

Back up......Mary is too elevated, too worshiped by some, yea, she might a been a little selfish but she was human, i mean it ani't every day that you get to have a baby and be a virgin still, or , better yet, be the earth mother of jesus.

No I suspect it was more a feeling of being awestruck. Elisabeth was correct, however and Mary is blessed among all women. But she is not an intercessory for us. Nor is there any scripture that says to pray to her.
