If you are lucky, the master cylinder on the clutch is bad, - if not you have a real expensive problem, as most all Ford vehicles of this type have the slave cylinder inside the bell housing, which means that you have to pull the transmission to get to them. This is especially true, - if yu have the 5 speed transmission.

Or you might be even luckier yet, - check and see that the reservoir is full of "brake fluid". The master cylinder is located right behind where the clutch pedal "rod" goes through the firewall. It is right next to the power brake unit (towards the center of the car), and has a round cover on it! Note: it has a shaft that moves it over on the other side of brake pedal hardware (inside the vehicle)!

My 93 explore did the same thing after a clutch I just installed, 5 days later the slave cylinder blew out, Check the fluid level and if it is out then look under the truck for fluid.

Yup, it extremely is an argument of having the engine RPM experience the value of the vehicle for that equipment you're going into. for sure, in case you have a Tach it may well be greater undemanding -- it you have not have been given one then get one. you will prefer to do it at decrease RPMs, do not bypass above 3K. The decrease the RPM you're sifting interior the greater straightforward it extremely is. not something to do while you're in a hurry. that's greater undemanding once you're moving up considering you are able to drop into the subsequent larger equipment collectively as the engine RPM is dropping yet down moving you may renounce in impartial and rev the engine to a greater physically powerful RPM so which you would be able to experience the engine RPM to velocity. After a collectively as, you will learn what are the stable shift factors for you. you would be wanting to commence with the help of upshift around 2500 and downshift around 1000. remember, this could be a sluggish methodical technique -- don't get in a hurry.

There is no mechanical linkage on your vehicle. It utilizes a hydraulic clutch. More than likely, your slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, or something in the hydraulic circuit has failed, rendering your clutch inoperative.
