why is it that girls are attracted to guys who are rude, insensitive, and just obnoxious, but they are not attracted to nice, quiet guys who don't have any of these traits?

There are those who don't. you just keep encountering those who fall for the guys that match their "look at me, look at me" personalities.

Depends on the girl. ********* can't look like confidence to some say if you're Han Solo but some girls find it overbearing.
There are girls with a victimization mindset. They have had every guy in their life act that way that they begin to develop a mindset that all guys are suppossed to act that way then when they meet a nice guy they think he's too soft or up to something.
It gets to a point where they either just hate guys and give up or give up and let themselves be tied to someone who may treat them bad. I've known a few who are so self depriciating they think they deserve to be with someone who doesn't respect them.
Some girls think they can change a guy from insensitive to Mr. Sensitive. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't but it all comes down to the fact that people are conditioned to accept and believe different things.
We just follow the programming.

I like guys who are in the middle. Not cocky and rude, but are sensitive and respectful to girls and can at least try to understand me. Its great if you don't have any of those obnoxious and cocky traits, but try not to be too quiet or girls will just over look you. Make sure you are outgoing but not too obnoxious and full of yourself, and you will be respected by the girls who are worth your time. The ones who are attracted to the cocky ones aren't the kind of girls you want.

ill go for either one really. all my friends and guys i've dated have been quite or cocky. tho....they have all been like emo,punk, or goth...so .....i dont really date preps...lol.
