Just checking...but why don't you just dump him first? If you're trying to make him cheat, you're worse than a guy. He could be a great guy who would never cheat on you (highly unlikely, but still). It'll take way less time to just break up with him, plus a lot less to deal with. But if you want to ignore all that, just get him drunk and have a friend or aquaintance make out with him.

I cannot believe that there are people who actually think that in order to make themselves look like the "good" person that they would look for ways to encourage their boyfriends to cheat on them, so that then the woman can point a finger at the boyfriend and say that they relationship is over because it's his fault! My god, grow up. If you don't like the guy, get rid of him. You might even be able to say that your life is just too busy right now to dedicate yourself to a permanent relationship. I really don't care what excuse you use to break up with the guy (you could even tell him you're busy painting your toe-nails everyday of the week for all I care) but don't encourage men to cheat. We women who actually dedicate ourselves to mature relationships try our hardest to find a man/love a man/& keep a man and when women like yourself pull crap or stunts like this, it only helps to create the kind of men we try so hard to stay away from these days. Find it in yourself to act like an adult.

Why don't you just break up with him?
If you're not feeling like the relationship is going where you need it to be then just break up with him and be open and honest about it. Some guys will respect that especially if the relationship is still fairly new.
Sounds like you're more concerned with not looking like the villain for breaking up with him which is pretty self absorbed but no one should stay in a non marital relationship if they aren't completely happy or committed to making it last.

yeah, been there and tried that. The best way to do it is to just communicate to him that you are not really happy with the relationship. Wanna be friends? Say that. Wanna just go your different ways? Say that. Getting him to cheat..that's a cowards way out. If you are mature enough to be in a relationship, then he should be mature enough to bow out of it as well.

Ha ha! Try and get one of your pretty friends to hit on him. When he falls for it, dump his *** and play the victim. That's what I do in that situation. Not that it's a nice thing to do, but hey.
