Sometimes telling a guy you like them ends in disaster, especially at a young age. It helps you grow as a person though, but it's still humiliating. Girls start liking guys before guys start liking girls. All I can say is she should just try being friends with him, and if things move up from there than good for her. But she can take a chance if she really wants, experience is the best way to learn.

Have someone else find out if he likes her and if he does then tell him that she likes him too. Then they should both feel comfortable and be able to talk to eachother.
