This is impossible for us to answer intelligently, since we know nothing about your age or medical history. We also don't know where it hurts in your leg - is it everywhere or in one specific place? Does it hurt continuously, or only certain times of day, or only when you climb stairs? Do you have swelling in your leg? Is the skin color different in the areas your leg hurts? Without answers to questions like these, we cannot help you.

It might be related to a problem with your sciactic nerve, but it could be many other things, or a combination of things. The only way to be sure is to discuss your pain with a medical professional, acupuncturist, or someone who knows you and your problem well enough to make a good conclusion.

So get off the Internet and see this person as soon as you can. I wish you well and hope you find relief from the pain soon.

your siatic nerve is a major nerve decending from you hip into the lower limbs, the siatic nerve branches as it enter the legs, so it depends on where the leg pain is. Where is the pain starting (medial, lateral, anterior, posterior part of the leg) and is it radiating into other part of you leg. basically get some medical help or be more specific.

the answer to your question is yes, because the siatic nerve intervates the most of the lower limb, unless its a blood clott.

Radiates all up and down the leg? Does it stop hurting when you stay in a particular position?

Really, not enough details to say yay or nay.
