This isn't a question you should be asking on here. Talk to a scholar or visit an Islamic website for answers. Different madhabs have somewhat different responses.

The Hadith of the Prophet (SAWS) specifically permits the use of a tooth-stick (miswak) while fasting. Therefore scholars agree that using a toothbrush with minimal toothpaste is permitted, though some encourage using just a bit of water to brush with during fasting hours as toothpaste can increase desire to eat for some people.

Candy is not allowed, if you are keeping a sucker in your mouth then you *ARE* swallowing the sugar that comes off it, this is a clear break of your fast. Gum is also not permitted as it was specifically warned against.

The best thing you can do is perform the brushing, flossing and other oral hygene at night so that a quick scrubbing of the teeth in the morning would be sufficient to remove night plaque.

Scholars have different opinions on this, believe me, I have asked around. Many imams say you CAN because it is not like you are eating it, and it is much different from sucking on a mint, because you are swallowing the juices of the mint. Other scholars say it's better not to because you can taste it in your mouth. But I agree with the previous answer, it is best to do miswaak because it is sunnat and has many benefits to it. Personally, I brush and do miswaak, so I guess you decide what you want to do and which scholar you want to follow. Have a happy Ramadan.

let me put it this way, u r not even suppose to taste food or anything that has a taste to it during fasting. if u do it intentionally then ur fats breaks, however, if it is an impulsive act, then its ok.

if u brush ur teeth during fast, though not using the toothpaste, it is ok. but one is to brush his.her teeth right after eating food for fast. so, that if there is food particles stuck between ur teeth, they r out.

as for lollipop....it still has taste to it. i havn't known any person who would swallow the whole lollipop. most normal ppl lick the lollipop to finish it.

during fast, one is not to eat nor taste anything. there are exceptions. such as if a woman is married and her husband is of really hot tempered. and he abuses her if teh concentration of anything spice is high or low in his food, in this case woman is allowed to taste the food. but not swallow it.

Fasting is what ever you take away from yourself. It doesnt have to be food. It is what ever is important to you. If your taking away food then yes you can use toothpaste. Your not eating it. For all around you use toothpaste.

yah youre allowed but as long as you dont sollow it and that you rinse it very well, and don't leave the taste in your mouth.
but use the miswak if you can couse it's even better than the toothbrush, and you get (Ajur) using it.
