The young man in this custody battle is repersenting himself and the young women has a lawyer repersenting her, but the child was appointment there own coucler who is working agaisnt the young ewomen just because she is independent and a single mom, and the young man lives with his parent ans is in no way indepent.
the young women involved is a single mom and has had there young child in her care for the last two in half years, and is no in courts for custody battle brought on by the young man who's parents want the child living with them so there som can give them all rights to caring for the young child.

In a custody battle between unmarried individuals, every state favors the mother. The man would have to prove the mother was unfit and that none of her relatives could provide adequate care for the child. He would also have to prove he was the father and that he could provide a good home. If he can prove ALL of the above, he has a chance at custody.
