Okay I've known this guy for 6 years and we have beenh best friends for 4 years but we recently started dating and now he is lying to impress me and I love him but he knows that I know he is lying and I confronted him and he wouldn't tell me why he is lying but all I know is that I've liked him for 2 years and he has liked me for 8 months but we have been going out for 1 month and 2 weeks now...Please give me some advice and please don't be smat about it because ot is very heartbreaking for him to be doing this to me RIGHT NOW because my grandfather is dying and my aunt has breast cancer and shes about to die 2 I feel horriable.

Sorry to hear about ur problems .It sounds Like u have a lot to deal with right now. About ur boyfriend maybe he is trying ti be more then he is because he is not secure enough about who he really is,or he might be just trying to impress u,OR it could be u didn't know him as well as u thought u did. Well, its kindof important to know what he's lying about. It doesnt sound like its anything about him cheating, otherwise you probably would have dropped him or vice versa. If its stuff to make himself seem better, then he's lying just for that. He could be insecure about himself around you, but mostly its just the way guys are. All guys are gonna try to make themselves look better than they are.
Other than that, all i can say is that 1) Girls dont only like guys for their personalities, not by a long shot...2) I realize it may be hard to take his lying with family illnesses, but it doesnt sound like what he's lying about is anything big so you're just going to have to let it go or let him go, but it doesnt sound like you want to do the second one. all the same the choice is yours.

I'm a girl n I'm shy til u get to know me. I'll sit in class quiet n not talk to anyone n wen ppl talk to me I get nervous...... But if ik u n were friends I'm a lot more outgoing .... I just get nervous around newer people n I get scared..... Guys always calls me cute n adorable cuz I'm shy, short, got a nice body, im sweetheart til u piss me off, stuff like that......

You didn't say what he lied about.. so Im not sure how to help.
Be honest, and let him know his lying is stupid, you can see thru it and know he's not being honest. Ask him flat out to be straight with you & that you care & there is no need for lies between the two of you.

he wants you to like him more! aww. i think thats sweet but bad cause i like guys for their personalities too. aww i hope they feel better. lie to him about you too, it will bug him and he will ask you why you do that, thats when you tell him that hes been doing the same things. forgive him cause thats what dating is for, to learn and experience. :)

partly because, as you are a goddess in his eyes, he feels he must be larger than life to be worthy of you. and partly because he feels a need to artificially inflate his ego.
