dreds are usually caused by hair that is nappy tangled. if you want natural dreds then stop washing your hair and dont comb it. after a few days you will see it will start to clump together. now with bee's wax just start teasing it and working it into a giant long knot. If you want to do it the easy way hair salons can do it for you.

ummm...dont comb it? its called nappy.
dread locks meaing your hair locks up while not combing it for a long time, you get wax and retwist it when you new growth comes in.
And for those that are saying dreads are nasty they or ignorite of the fact they they are not if you take care of them. Not washing your hair for black people is not so bad we maybe wash our hair once every 2weeks, "others" wash their hair every day because there prone to lice. Dread are usally for course haired ppl

Who in hell wants something so dirty.The people that got their hair so nasty they are digging in it all time .who wants to go around with their hair not being washed they are the gross people I have seen.

don't wash it with shampoo for a longggggggggg time- and I am told by a black friend of mine - you are supposed to tease it back a little- your hair will not go back to straight if you do dreads- it will have to be cut out -dig?!

dont do it yourself you will ruin your hair.
i did to mine.
go and get it done by a stylish so you dont fcuk up your hair. they charge a lot but if you really want it its worth the price
