Why do people who belong to Laz Raza think Mexico owns America?

Mendi8a is a fine example always saying that illegals come first their plight is more important then any other country. If things are as bad in Mexico as Alberto claims why isn't his boy Fox reaching out to the world for food aid since Mexico is all but broke and hungry.Angela R claims EL Paso is safest city in the world that all there are walking on streets of gold. They believe that Mexico conditions are worst then those in IRAQ. They condone sex offenders,Drunk Drivers that to them Mexicans have never done this never mind Dallas Texas has the highest rate of unregistered sex offenders. Doesn't the title LA Raza tell you anything. THE Race Mexican is a nationality not a race but they are so arrogant and racist they think they are the only ones that matter and what they want takes prescident over anything any othe people could want. Kind of like the Nazis isn't it? And they are always the first to bring up the comparison of US citizens wanting illegal immigration to stop and the Nazis. I wonder why? When was the last time we rounded up Mexicans and put them in concentration camps or ovens or even made them wear a big yellow M on thier shirts? Yeah right we're called Nazis, but they call themselves La Raza.

1. Texas did in fact belong to Mexico, and the Americans who were invited to help settle it (Bowie et al) declared independence. Texas later joined the USA, then tried to get out, and of course they've been part of the USA since 1865.

2. Arizona, New Mexico, California, etc used to be part of Mexico. Mexico lost most of those places in a war with the USA.

3. In many places in those states, Spanish settlers had settlements long before the English had settlements in the Eastern USA -- Jamestown was NOT the first Eurpoean settlement in the USA. Those Americans spoke Spanish long before anyone asked them to speak English.

4. Mexico, like all other countries, has good points and bad points. And, like the USA, you have radicals and politicans claiming all sorts of things about Mexico, usually as a way to gain power.

5. Most Mexicans don't want to leave Mexico, for the same reason you might now want to leave your community (family, friends, etc). They come here because they see a chance to have a better life. 95% of those who come here work hard, stay out of trouble, etc. That doesn't mean that they should stay here, but rather that it's the bad 5% that we always hear about.

Where is all your data for this. I was stationed in El Paso in the early 60 & had a lot of Hispanic friends there. I use to spend a lot of time Juarze Mexico. The only things I saw was the usual places most service men go to. The city from my viewpoint was dirty & smelly.But most of the people I met were nice. The reason Mexico is poor is because of the cast sytem. Unlike America the poor never get the chance to better themselves.Here at least if you try you have a chance to improve your lot in life You can make something of your life if you are willing to work at it. came from nowhere & now I employ 131 people. That is what hard work can do..

La Raza is as popular in Mexico as the American Nazi Party is in the US. 90% of people down here have NEVER heard of it and 80% of those who have think they are all nuts. sort of like "see what happens when you move to the US? you go "mental" just like the Gringos..."

Excellent point! The operational motto is " For the race, everything. Outside the race, nothing!" I admire the tenacity of the ones you speak of, yet they follow a flawed logic.
Let them act upon their convictions & actually make a change where it will do the most good for the ones they blindly support. MEXICO not America. Americans are creating a public outcry for change of the lax immigration enforcement. We are having an impact across this nation even up to the congressional level. Americans stay and make changes in America! Mexicans and their supporters should follow our example.

geek, if Texas etc once belonged to mexico and mexico once belonged to spain doesn't that mean that spain would in fact have a claim to texas, not mexico... (and yes, this is a ridiculous topic of conversation)
