Hey whats up? The short anwser to this question is no it wont entirely go away. You will always have adhd, and will be taking medications for a long time. I will say this though, offen times many kids your age do not have friends because there disorder gets in the way of being social. So feel glad you have friends. I see it all the time in my job (I work with kids your age while finishing college) that the kids with ADHD have low self esteem and no friends. Feel lucky you have cool friends!

But to take care of the question, hang in there. It WILL get better. High school is a whole new ball game in which will keep you more active and soon the ADHD will be more controllable. Eventually it will not be an issue at all. (You will still have ADHD, but it will become secondary in your life rather then primary).
So just hang in there, it gets easier as time goes by. And dont let your sister get to you. I know from experience that its tough being a sibling of a person who has ADHD because yes it does get annoying. (My brother is 15 by the way and has adhd, I do not).

Hope that helps a little.

I had it all my life and never knew it until I was 46. I always got into trouble when I was in school. Back then they didn't know anything about this problem. Thank God they do now.....
