i WAS IN iTALY AND A WOMAN SAID I WAS ARABIGENTO, SHE COULDNT GIVE ME THE RIGHT MEANING, I DIDNT FIND IT IN THE DICTIONARY AND ITS BEEN BUGGING ME FOR TWO MONTHS,

Arabigento don't mean anything is not an italian word.
Agrigento is a beautiful sicilian city with the famous "valle dei templi".

hmmm I don't know Italian
But I like to guess so may be if we divided the word into
" Arabi" and "gento" ... I still don't know what "gento " means.
A gentle Arab ? maybe ..
let me get my dictionary ....
Okay , here we go :
the closest word I found was "gent" which means a"man" ; a gentleman.
so , it may simply means an Arab .

I think it comes from some southern dialect, i've never heard a word like that... What part of Italy did you visit?

I am sure these are two words, and you misspelled them, all what I can say is if those words are “Arabi Gento”, they mean “Groaned Arabs”
