This is the 6th time we need to repair my brothers computer in 10 months and by now we are fed up so I called the customer service to see if they can just give us the go ahead to exchange this computer. It is obviously faulty. It is still under a 3 year warranty. The people at customer service keep giving us the run around and want us to keep repairing it. I reamed the guy out and said this is last time we will EVER buy a computer from them! Ooo, they make me soo mad.

So, do you ever do that and do you feel bad afterwards?

I am not feeling bad now..I just want this issue taken care of those motherf*ckers.

Your frustration is well deserved. I would be ticked if I was you.

However their is nothing wrong with being frustrated and "speaking your mind", you just need to make sure you vent it to the correct person. The $8/hr customer service person on the phone usually does not care your problem or they may not be able to do anything regarding your situation either. Therefore always talk to a manager or the company headquarters to get the problem resolved. If you don't and just vent it to the customer service person, you will just tick off this poor sap and nothing will ever get resolved.

Never. There's an old saying, "You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar." It pays to be nice to people. When you're irate and yelling/calling names/complaining, they're less apt to want to help you. If you call and *try* to calmly plead your case, tell them that repair really isn't an option for the 7th time, etc., if you're kind to them, they'll be more likely to help you get a new computer.

These customer service people don't build the computers, and probably get yelled at, hung up on, cursed out, etc. on a regular basis. When someone nice FINALLY calls, they're very appreciative and will (usually) go out of their way to help you.

I always keep this in mind when I have to call the customer service number of any business--it's not THEIR fault--it's not THEIR fault. Just keep repeating it. :)

The Better Business Bureau can help you. As long as you have all the pertinent documentation. IE: visits, bills, conversations, names etc... They really helped when I had trouble with a mail order book company. It took a while, but everything got squared away. Good luck! Cheers =)

Yeah, sounds like you need to take the issue to management. Don't feel bad about it, for sure.
BTW... just for future reference reaming somone out means something different to what you think it does. *blush*

write a letter to the company head quarters.....customer service,
politely explain the problem....demand a replacement that works...I don't know what kind you have or who you are dealing with...but feel free to report them to the BBB if you are not satisfied
