First, realize you are who you are. Even if you don't know who that is, you owe it to yourself to be yourself. So many people, especially young people feel conflict and anxiety because they don't think they are whomever someone else (a parent for example) wants them or expects them to be. The good news is that most all parents truly are accepting of who and what you are, so talk to them if this is your situation. If this isn't about you and your parents, but more individual and inner in nature, then start by figuring out (listing) what is important to you in life, and how WHO you are is probably rooted in that sense of what is importance.

Good luck!

Hi Andy! I'm sorry you are having a hard time communicating and with trusting anyone. It takes time to open up. Give the person you are seeing a few visits. If you find you still can't open up then ask to see another person. They should be able to help you some how. If your mixed up then just tell them how you are feeling for that day. Thats a start. It takes time to trust a person and I would tell them that you have a problem with trusting any one and talking to anyone. There were times when I wasn't sure who I was and even how I felt. If you have a mental problem its common to be mixed up. I have bipolar, depression, d.i.d. sleep apnea and very painful migraines at least 15 days out of the month. I've been going to a therapist for 16 years. I am still working on getting better. You can't cure bipolar disease. But I do control it with meds, also my depression and d.i.d. Take care hun I hope this helps ok! Hugs! Von

Many people have that problem due to a fear of rejection. You can open up to a professional who is by trade and obligation, impartial and non-judgmental. Also if you have a trusted friend to confide in...it may be hard at first but if it is something that you really want to discuss and talk about, it will happen. Good luck!

You seriously need to be in some kind of therapy!!! Dont take needing some counselling as being a weak person. It takes a very strong person to admit that they have problems. It wouldnt hurt alot on here to get help.
God bless
