It depends on the circumstances.
I personally think that if the only thing keep a person alive are the machines and the person is generally considered to be braindead (meaning a couple of medical opinions) with no real chance of recovery, "pulling the plug" as you have so crudely worded it is nothing more than allowing nature to take its course.
On the other hand, if a person is in a coma or is conscious or could live just fine without most of all the machines, it would be very likely that I would consider any measures to be murder.
The question is this - does the step you are taking forceably end someone's life or does it just end the means that keep the body functioning? And again, it will be different given the variety of circumstances.

Each situation is different. My Mom was in the hospital & the doctors said there was nothing more they could do for her. My Mom had said in her will & told us kids that she wanted 3 doctors to say that if they could do no more then stop any futher life saving means, so that is what we had to do. It will be one of the most difficult things you ever will do. Even after the fact, I still feel guilty, I wanted more time with her, but really she was already gone. She was my best friend, I loved her with all my heart, I would have taken her place, but it didn't work out that way. If you can still talk to the person find out what they want & then go from there. Good Luck to you & may the Lord give you the answers you need.

Nothing at all if the person is brain dead. Their is no point to artificial life. However, the Government and Insurance Carriers put the screws to us so badly throughout our lives that we should all elect to be kept on machines forever. Let's make the evil politicians and greedy insurance executives pay throughout eternity to keep our dead bodies breathing. Talk about justice.

NO. as quickly as the recommendations is thoroughly ineffective, the guy is ineffective. the only element that keeps the physique alive is equipment. it rather is incorrect to maintain someones physique alive, to me it rather is disrespectful, you're actually not allowing nature to ensue and you're retaining the ineffective between the residing on your individual selfish emotional desires.

I think it needs to be discussed before hand instead of after the fact. We all need to keep our loved ones informed of our wishes and preferably put it in writing so there will not be confusion and legal battles over what should be a personal choice.

There is a difference between disconnecting one from life support and actively euthanizing one. I could live with the first as we have done this but not the second.

Nothing. Isn't it amazing that you put a dog to sleep so it won't suffer, but a religious nut fights to make people suffer to the end.

If you mean as in if I were in a vegetative state, I would want them to do it for me. It should be an individual choice though.
