My first girlfriend was a Senior when I was a Sophomore, so I can relate. Make an effort to be around her. Find something in common, make her laugh, and just enjoy being friends. If there's something there, you'll know and it won't be hard to ask her out... for dinner, to go bowling, or even a school dance. Good luck!

Tell her "once you go freshman you never go back!"

Or maybe, "okay, maybe I'm underdeveloped and have acne in places you can't see as well, but, well, er, never mind."

"Why date a guy who has a vehicle, probably a job and money, and muscle when you can help me pop the pimples on my back when we peddle home from our date?"

"Are you tired and sticky because you've been running through my wet dream all night!"

"The doctor says within 2 years it should start working, unless I'm a late developer...But at least there's no hair on my chest either!"

"Thay, ifth thyour rathio duthint plfay well, my rethainer workths asth an antennae."

"No, these aren't pokemon cards, I gave that up years ago. These are Magic the Gathering Cards...wanna play?"

Hmmm, I'm four years older than my darling husband. Time is a great equalizer, but I'm sure I would not have been interested in him when I was 16/17 and he was 12/13. Difficult as it may be, you'll have to wait it out. Nothing lost in asking her out, though she'll have to drive!

as a freshman in both h.s. and college i dated upper class women. it was a great experience and opened many doors to places i normally at that stage would not have been able to see.

i would highly advise pursuing this relationship.
