I always find the first indication of the beginning of the end is when everything about your partner starts to irritate you. From the way they eat to the jokes they tell. They make you cringe. Also the fact that time together is not as enjoyable as it used to be and you start to avoid each other more.

Increasing amounts of distance and disinterest on the part of the other person. Also behaviour which is designed to put you off in some way, whether it be criticism or sneering, turning up late all the time or canceling things with you/appearing unwilling to commit to do something with you, argumentative behaviour over nothing, open flirting with others or obvious interest in others when you are there.
Basically, if the person isn't really into you anymore, their actions will let you know.

He says.. He cant come over he is not well. He does not answer his mobile phone when you ring and then says " It was switched off and could not find it" He says I cant go out this weekend I am working late/ visiting mum/tidying the house. ( Ask him how he really feels about you and if there is any point in carry on the relationship)

i hope this is a hypothetical question, if not, i hope things work out for you hun!
