I took some advice from here and took a chance, and I have to admit it was neccessary in order to stop having a crush on this kid, and only got a "I like you as a friend". But I have to admit, "Confess your love" and "Ask him/her out are the most common answers I see on here. So how many people have good results and how many get bad results?

Yes my dear; I've been turned down a few times, mostly because they were lesbian i happen to find out later! But confessing it is the best thing you can do. Let me commend you on your boldness. It will payoff trust me. And everyone, I mean everyone, has people who would turn them down for whatever reason.

I'm sorry that you got turned down.

Confessing your love, or asking someone out, and getting turned down, is far more better than not knowing, and always having to wonder "what if?"

At least now you know that you can move on. You will find someone who does like you more than a friend.

answers you get from here in no way guarantee the success of your attempt. it is just advice which you asked coz you werent sure and the answers you got were also in the 'not sure' sense. it would be a mistake to over indulge yourself keeping in mind that the advice you getting is only a third person thought.
I took loads of advice from here, yet I havent implemented that advice, though I wouldnt look for excuses in this place.
