please elaborate, were you just sitting there and the pain started, or did you do something do cause the pain? where is the pain localized, upper arm, lower, shoulder? the more info the better the answers.

Severe pain in your arm for no reason at all, (as you don't say that you fell or banged your arm), could be a sign of heart problems or clogged arteries.

To be on the safe side I would see my personal doctor an advise him/her of this sudden severe pain in your arm.

Your doctor will give you a check up and check your heart for any abnormalities.

No, however I'm in extreme discomfort daily and use to it...I have had killer migraines that makes you wish to tug your hair out. Try a few coffee, it is helping me. Or this will likely sound bizarre nevertheless it is helping...I take an ace bandage and wrap it round my head, form comfortable...I name it binding my mind LOL That little bit of strain from the bandages is helping greater than you realize...I lengthy tube sock works in a pinch....
