Yah, I recognize how lame this question is but I've never been a tea drinker. I just bought some herbal tea from an herbalist through the internet and it came in individual tea bags. It says to make a pot of hot tea with it. I don't own a tea pot. Am I correct that I would boil water in a pot, say maybe a 2 quart pot, and then add the tea bag and let it set for 5 minutes? Do I need to squeeze the tea out of the bag? It also says the one tea bag can be used to make up to 3 pots of tea. Do I let the bag dry out then stick it in a Ziplock?

You have the correct idea. It may not take five minutes for it to saturate the water. You also don't need to use a Ziplock bag. You could just leave it on the countertop to let it dry. Just use water to remove any stain that develops.

Loose tea is usually of a higher quality, but it must be used and kept in a cool dry place. There are tea bag teas nowadays which are of a high quality(ie. Twinings, Dilmah and Tetley) Tetley and Twinings have a Russian and lady earl grey that are simply lovely. The Russian earl grey has bergamot flowers dotted thru it. I think it is better to search for a good tea(loose or tea bag). And boil your water hot and allow the tea to steep for at least 3 to 5 minutes. The average person today, dips the bag 3 or 4 times and considers the colour instead of the flavor. This not only spoils the good flavor of the tea but ruins the tea leaves in the bag by reusing. A bag should never be reused. Good luck at finding a good tea.

It depends on how strong you want the tea to be. The bag can be put in a mug, cup, or tea pot. The longer you allow the tea bag to stay in the water the stronger the tea will be. You can then reuse the tea bag. I usually get a large teaspoon and wrap the string (if it has one) around the tea bag and then squeeze out the excess water. You could then put it in a baggie, or dry it, until it is time to reuse. Hope this helps.

Boil the water. Place the tea bag in a cup. While the water is still boiling hot our it over the tea and let it steep for a few minutes.

One teabag should be used for one cup of tea, depending on the strength and your taste.

If you buy loose tea, also buy a tea ball (grocery store). Same process, only you can put as many servings as you like in the ball and that is when you use a tea pot, when you have more than one serving.

Buy yourself a wonderful porcelain teapot and some pretty teacups, and use them.

Serve your tea plain, with sugar, sugar and milk or lemon.

Depends on the size of the tea bag, you can just use an ordinary coffee pot if you would like. Instead of putting in coffee, just throw the tea bag in, and let it brew.

yeah u're right.tea bags gotta be dipped in hot boiled water but don;'t you dip the tea bag while boiling the water.

dip the bag in the boiled hotwater as long as it needs to be to change the flavour and colour of the water.maybe it should not take you more than ten to fifteen minutes. but there are crazy people like me who love to dip as long as an hour.to get the full benefit.

let the tea bag reach the orgasm ie give its full color to the water.

or else you're wasting your money. try being economic.

once you find the color changed then take it out and of the water and use it for another session

i drink camomile and peppermint tea. try that its real drink maaaan unlike others which are hazardous to health
