I am making a project in microsoft powerpoint. I need to have music in it........ how do I put a music file from my computer on it and have it play all the way through? Because when I put a file in there, it stops playing when an animation goes, or when I switch slides. How can I make it play all the way through?

It might play better on a different computer. It sounds as if you are describing a computer that's getting bogged down. Might need more memory to run better for you. But keep working with it, finish it, save it, and try it somewhere else. Try a test one, with just a couple of slides.

In PowerPoint, make sure your Task Pane is on the right side of the screen, if not from the menu: View > Click Task Pane.

Where it says "Getting Started", click the arrow pointing down next to the "x", you should see a list of other tasks. Pick "Custom Animation"

If you are on the slide with the sound, you should see the name of the sound file. Right click the sound file and goto "Effect Options..."
Now you can tell it when to start playing, and how long to play for. I usually put Stop playing after 12 slides if my powerpoint is 12 slides.

When you goto insert - insert movies and sounds - play cd audio track - you need to make sure that it is timed to play all the way through, you can also loop it until it stops. If your using some other file just make sure that its set with the same amount of time as your power point presentations.

you need to set the timings for each and every slide and apply the propes transations effect and choose right slide for the presentation.
