My face is completely round. I currently have side bangs to the left and longish layered hair. I straighten it normally... is this a good style for my face shape?

Something that comes off to the sides a lot.

You might also talk to a stylist you trust and have good experiences with....if you don't have a regular stylist, ask people whose hairstyles/cuts you admire who they go to.

I have a stylist who I've been with for 10 years and she will tell me how it is :). My hair always looks great after I come from having seen her.

I also have a round face ... I have shortish hair -- the front is longer than the back. The back is kinda rounded with a "stacked" look and the front comes down longer than my chin, but kinda frames my face. I don't use bangs unless it is only a few wisps.

I used to have it long, too, and it looked the best when it was pulled up like in a french twist or something slightly elegant in the back.

Your best bet are styles that fall right below your chin or add a little volume on top. Soft, graduated layers are also a great bet because they make your face appear slimmer and tend to remove bulk and weight from the sides. Bangs are flattering, but keep them long or sideswept. Go for wispy and tapered ends. These de-emphasize the roundness of your face.

My face is round too. My hairstyle right now is about 2 inches below my shoulders, and I have bangs that shape my face.

Totally....................I also prefer hair styles that are up...........try pulling your hair back into a basic high ponytail and putting your side bands high so it looks like you don't have bangs. Then putt a few curls to each side of your hair!

chin length bob with layers at the top to add height and an appearance of length to your face.
