I don't know that being blind is a terrible thing. My daughter is blind in one eye, and could easily lose her sight entirely, and we have tried to look at it as an opportunity to learn new things and to find OTHER things to be thankful for. No, she might never drive a car, but she'll understand more than I ever will about listening to people. I don't know why you ask the question, but I would like to encourage you to be positive and find people around you for support.

if your born blind you dont really know what your missing, but if something happens that you become blind you miss the beauty that you once saw (1) you can no longer see your childrens face (2) and you have to learn brail (3)
