No, the Devil used the snake to communicate with Eve. That's why the Bible calls Satan the original serpent.

Satan can appear in many forms, a snake, a dragon, or even an angel of light.
The traditional belief is that the serpent was one of if not the most beautiful creatures in the garden. But God caused the serpent to crawl on its belly and probably lost its beauty as well.

What snake are you referring too? If it be the one in the garden of Eden then know, only a fool would think that it was Satan and not God who had turned him self into a snake and enticed Adam and Eve to eat that apple.
God tells Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If this was the only way they could understand the difference between good and evil, how could they have known that it was wrong to disobey God and eat the fruit?
It's either got to be fiction or God is just a mean S.O.B.

Nope, I don't believe in the devil. Snakes are amazing creatures that would only harm you if you are a threat to them.
