well, it's not usually a requirement for good rabbit hunting, but it sure helps to have a beagle. they'll get right in that thick brush where rabbits will sit tight and flush them out.. also, a good dog will pick up a scent after the rabbit has flushed and chase it back to you. rabbits are stupid like this, in that they almost always circle back to where they were kicked out of origionally. all you gotta do is sit tight and wait for fido to keep the heat on . happy huntin' bro

No it's not a necessity. Spot and stalk works also. a pair of binoculars comes in real handy for this. Just move slow along fence lines, streams or whatever is the best habitat near you for rabbit. Glass every 20-30yds and you should do just fine

It's a good idea, but you don't need one. I have a beagle and I'm going to start training him for rabbit. It's a lot of hard work training a dog to do that, so don't do it if you don't have patients. beagles are just darn stubborn! But there the best dog for the job and great family pets. You can successful without one too.

Nope I've hunted rabbits for years. It is easier with a dog but you can hunt them by walking and kicking and stomping the brush and multi flora rose bushes. It is actually called jump shooting or jump hunting.

it sure helps. i've been hunting with dogs that actually caught the rabbits. kinda takes the fun out of the sport. if you don't have dogs, then you're at a disadvantage of flushing them out of brush. it you hunt fence rows or field edges, then you can still hunt with a .22 or .22 magnum. little bunny hops out...

no, you don't have to have a gundog. you can walk through the brush, fields, etc. and you will jump them up. but its more fun and relaxing with dogs.

I don't know if it is required by law or some policy but it seems like a good idea. Don't you think? Google it and find out more about it.
