Jesus IS God.

As it is written: "Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I tell you, before there was an Abraham, I am!" (John 8:58)

"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)

The reason why we should depend on God is that he made us to be with him and he is our father and wants to help us out.
You ask the Father in the name of the Son Jesus

He is more powerful then me and gets better results, which is why I rely on God. When I ask for help, to ask God or Jesus is the same thing.

Because without GOD, life is hopeless. Life has no meaning.Anybody could say that there is no God. But the Bible says that such a person is a fool ! So for us who prefer a God,we MUST see GOD'S HAND in our lives so that this God makes sense ! And He does exactly that. Sometimes our requests are not answered to our expectation... but on the long run, things will fall into place as long as we do not side-track from Hisadmonitions/Bible. But even when we do side-track, and results become sour, the moment we call, He is there !! That is how good our God is ! He is a LOVING/CARING/PROVIDER God.
On as to who- JESUS or GOD , to ask in prayer, it does not matter which one you do . In Mathew 6 : " our FATHER who art in Heaven... " Jesus taught His disciples to ask the FATHER... and Jesus mentioned at times to ask HIM " if you ask anything in my NAME/JESUS' , I will give you .." There seems a contradiction here but there is not. You see, Jesus is the Son of God AND HE IS ALSO GOD in the human flesh. In HEBREWS : without the shedding of BLOOD ( on the CROSS ) there would be no remission of sin ". Therefore, God Himself had to be HUMAN in order to DIE because GOD as a SPIRIT cannot die. Therte are times when Jesus said : " without me/Jesus, you can do nothing. "
So it makes no difference as to who you ask because Jesus is in Heaven to prep[are us a place and he is coming VERY SOON to take his people home... Now He is the intercessor between God the Father and the Sinner-us. Our prayers would be made acceptable to the FATHER throuhg JESUS' intercessory work in the HEAVENLY SANCTUARY which is not build by human hand but God himself. So do not hessitate to ask GOD and He will grant your answer in time. Anyway, that is how we SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS SEE through the BIBLE... PROVE us WRONG if you can.. May GOD BLESS !

Jesus told His disciples and therefore us that no one can go to God except through Him (Jesus), therefore, one must ask God through Jesus. Then, if one does not know the words, the Holy Spirit will help.

You should pray to Jesus, only through his only begotten son will God hear and answer your prayers. Only those who have accepted Jesus into their hearts and have accepted him as their savior will those enter into heaven. God created you, who better than your creator knows what you need and want better ? Seek and ye shall find, ask and you shall receive, these words were written for a reason, and please believe me, I've lived them and seen the results of prayer and it really does work, hope this helps ya dear, God Bless

God created us. He knows our needs.

We pray through Jesus to God.

John 16:26-28
At that day ye shall ask in MY name: and I say not unto you, that I will PRAY THE FATHER for you.
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came our from God.
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

You should depend on God because he is responsible for your very existence, just as he is responsible for every star burning in every galaxy, and every quark vibrating on every superstring there has been since the big bang kicked it all off.

As to which to ask, if you are Christian, Jesus and the Father are one.

"On that day you will ask in my name, and I do not tell you that I will ask the Father for you. For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have come to believe that I came from God." (John 16:26-27)
